DIY Oat Creamer with Cinnamon & Brown Sugar

There’s something about the first sip of coffee in the morning that feels like a ritual—like you’re quietly telling the day yes, I’m here and I’m ready. But I’ve noticed that store-bought creamers, while convenient, rarely give me the cozy sweetness I’m craving. They’re either too sugary, too heavy, or missing that little spark of warmth.

So one morning, in between feeding the dog and waiting for the kettle to sing, I decided to whip up my own. A handful of oats, a splash of vanilla, a hint of brown sugar and cinnamon… suddenly, I wasn’t just making coffee—I was making a small comfort to start the day with softness.

The best part? It takes all of five minutes, and you probably already have everything in your kitchen.

What You’ll Need:

1 cup rolled oats

2 cups water (filtered if you have it)

1–2 tablespoons brown sugar (adjust to your taste)

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pinch of salt

How to Make It:

Blend the oats and water on high until smooth (about 30 seconds).

Strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag to catch the pulp.

Return the liquid to the blender, add brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.

Blend again until everything comes together.

Pour into a jar or bottle, store in the fridge, and give it a good shake before using.

It’s simple, but the flavor is something else creamy, spiced, a touch of sweetness without going overboard. Every morning feels just a little softer with it swirling into my cup, like wrapping myself in a blanket before stepping into the day.

With love & moonlight,
